SAP ECC to S/4HANA Migration Including Updating Precisely Platform

Overview

A U.S.-based power utility company began to implement SAP S/4HANA. To ensure the functionality would be available and working against S/4HANA appropriately, solutions which connect to the current SAP ECC environment needed to be reviewed and updated.

To create and update various records within ECC, the power utility company utilizes Precisely Automate Studio as well as Automate Evolve. As a result, they needed to review each of the Studio and Composer scripts to determine if they would work correctly against the S/4HANA environment. If not, the scripts had to be updated so the needed functionality was available and to ensure a successful system integration.

Key Challenges

As with any SAP migration or upgrade, there are many workstreams to consider. Specific challenges for updating the Precisely Automate platform to be compatible with S/4 include:
