Overview
A global tire manufacturer acquired a competitor to increase market share. Like with all acquisitions, the acquiring company had to evaluate the acquired company’s people, processes and technology. One business process that piqued the interest of the acquiring company was the idea to production process.
CPS had previously helped the acquired company automate the mass creation of materials and provide visibility into the idea to production process. During this interim period, some components of the acquired company’s instance of SAP will be utilized to manage various manufacturing processes. Other commercial parts of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process will leverage the acquiring company’s processes.
